Know n as MFAA Pathways, the new lear ning management system gives members one-stop search-and-pu rchase access to a wide range of courses, seminars, blended- lear ning activities and events. In keeping with the name MFAA Pathways, the online platfor m w ill allow you to plan and schedule you r ow n de velopment, track you r CPD and be assured that the courses and events qualify for CPD hou rs. The Phase One release offers access to the MFAA's existing material - with a focus on compliance, membership and qualification options. In addition, MFA A Pathways manages over 40,000 past training histories for our members. Phase Two of MFAA Pathways -- to be rolled out over the ensuing three months -- will see existing MFAA material updated, redesigned and deployed using a blended lear ning approach. The focus of Phase Two is to enrich the online platform with a greater choice of member-relevant professional development and e vent activities delivered through different lear ning styles including webinars, e-lear ning, webcasts, podcasts and more traditional methods. The MFA A's Executive Director of Professional Development and Events, Rod Edge, says MFA A Pathways responded to member demand. "We want to ensu re that members in the mortgage and finance industr y operate at the highest professional standards. Ou r minimum education standards and our continuing professional de velopment requirements for broker members, are over and above what is required by ASIC," says Edge. "If we demand that sort of quality from ou r members, we have to provide a high-quality platfor m to support them." Edge says the MFA A Pathways platfor m will also resolve some of the search and select challenges faced by MFA A brokers when they tr y to find professional development activities. "Our research suggests members currently utilise search engines, such as pathways MFAA As the MFAA pushes its minimum education standards above what is required by ASIC, the Association has launched an online platform that grants you access to a range of events and professional development content.
